Originally a sanatorium, this is one of Switzerland's "most idyllically located and original hotels". Situated above Davos, it is served by a "private funicular" and is an "oasis of calm" although access in this way can be limiting. Being above the town gives it about "two extra hours" of sunlight a day which can be enjoyed on a "sunny terrace". The rooms are "comfortable" and "functional" but not "deluxe".
