Frank Partridge wrote that Fawsley Hall had "strong links" to the monarchy, with the "most sought-after" room being the one that Queen Elizabeth I once stayed in. He said that today the hotel is a "pleasing" combination of new and old, with rooms ranging from the Elizabethan period through "classic country house" to "modern minimalist". He found the "vaulted" Great Hall "astonishing" and felt that the furniture and restored Tudor fireplace helped to combine "period elegance" with "contemporary comfort".

The hotel is located in "hilly parkland" and the ornamental gardens were designed in the 1760s and 1770s. Partridge mentioned that the train stations are 15 minutes drive away and the airports between 45 minutes and one hour away.

Partridge wrote that the rooms were decorated in "soft" colours and were styled in keeping with the dates of renovation. Some suites he said had four-poster beds, while the others had beds that were "more comfortable than capacacious". Reproduction furniture was "contrasting" with modern chrome and there were flat screen televisions and Wi-Fi in the rooms.

Frank described the conservatory-bar as an "unexpected gem" and said that the Knightly restaurant had three AA rosettes. He also stated that the spa and fitness studio were located in a Georgian cellar.
