This event happened just few years ago. It was a Christmas Party offered by our supplier. As one of the distributors of that company, I was also invited.
I arrived in the Royal Mandaya Hotel just minutes before the party starts. I noticed a lot of people in the lobby, some were hotel guests and others are attendees of that party. We were waiting at the lobby for the party to start because the function room is just adjacent from it. I notice the hotel staff in the reception area were busy entertaining with their guest. They were smiling and friendly. The Hotel itself were in the festive mood because of the Christmas season.
During the party, we were served a buffet style dining, which offered 4 kinds of dishes, rice, and 2 kinds of sweets. I like their dishes specially the buttered chicken but I did not appreciate their vegetables dish specially the string beans because it was almost not cooked. You can still taste the flavor of the uncooked string beans.
Drinks were served as you ordered through the waiter assigned for this particular function. I noticed only 6 waiters were attending to us which I estimated we reached to a hundred persons. So, the drinks we ordered will be delayed for about 20 minutes at the minimum.
Well, in spite of that, I still enjoyed the rest of that Christmas Party in Royal Mandaya Hotel.
