The surrounding countryside and the coastline mean that the area has a wide variety of activities to offer, including sailing, fishing and boat tours. You could visit the town at festival time or take the steam train to Paignton. Dartmouth Castle, the Britannia Royal Naval College and many National Trust Gardens are all within easy reach. You could also walk the famous South West Coast Path or, if all that sounds a bit too active, you could simply laze on the area’s beautiful clean beaches.With a magnificent location, looking out over the harbour and the River Dart, right in the heart of Dartmouth, this 17th-century building offers bright, airy rooms, free Wi-Fi and a stylish restaurant.
Privately owned, the award-winning Royal Castle Hotel has a great location, in the centre of the pretty town of Dartmouth, with its cobbled streets, intriguing shops and world-famous restaurants and bars.
There are 25 en suite rooms, all of which are unique and individually decorated. Many of the rooms have river views, four-poster beds and spa baths. Every room has a TV, radio and tea / coffee making facilities.
With wonderful views out over the river, Nu is the hotel’s stylish and relaxed restaurant. The restaurant offers delicious food made from the best, freshest produce available locally.
The hotel also has 2 bars: the contemporary Harbour bar and the more traditional Galleon bar. Both bars have real open log fires burning in the winter.Please note that Christmas, New Year, Easter, Music Festival and Dartmouth Regatta are special events in the annual calendar and are subject to a £200 deposit per room that must be paid at least one calendar month prior to arrival. This entails a cancellation period of 3 weeks prior to the event.
Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, a fixed amount of GBP 60.00 will be charged.
Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 2 years are charged GBP 5.00 per night and person for cots.
One child from 6 to 10 years is charged GBP 10.00 per night in an extra bed.
One child from 11 to 15 years is charged GBP 20.00 per night in an extra bed.
One child from 2 to 5 years is charged GBP 5.00 per night and person in an extra bed.
There is no capacity for extra beds in the room.
Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1.
Deposit Policy: A fixed amount of GBP 60 per room will be charged on the day of booking and is refundable.
