[dave61, 27/11/2011] I just spent 3 nights at the George and I have to say I had a brilliant time, great food and really friendly staff. Huge recommendation.

[victoria1982, 13/11/2011] What has happened to this lovely little restuarant. We have been here a few times before and it has always been lovely. Went last night for my husbands birthday. Never again We waited well over 30 minutes between courses being served. Was told when we tried to order our meal at 8.20pm that they had ran out of steak (erm not what you would expect to hear). The food is now served like a gastro pub. Fine if you are going to your local wetherspoons but not what you expect when you have taken your husband out for a meal for his birthday. The hotel is stunning, the staff were very polite and friendly and the manager Paul is one of the nicest people i have ever met. Paul and Sarah helped us organise everything and made sure everything went perfect. We had a bbq buffett with a hog roast and the food was absolutely stunning.
