It opened in December 2005 after 8 years and "$100mn of construction". The hotel has an "impressive, green-front" and has become "king of the city's hospitality sector".

The Four Seasons has the first "full service spa", the "first concierge service" and is the first to offer "DVD players and high speed internet" in all 297 rooms.
