Guests looking for adventure should try the 3+3 orienteering in Sälen; 3 days of training and 3 days of competition in orienteering. In addition to the 3+3 week, Sälen offers numerous opportunities for orienteering with controls in both summer and fall.
Sälen is where the famous Kungsleden Trail begins and ends. A paved walkway, circa 2.5 km long, makes it possible for everyone to enjoy nature at close range; including people who have difficulty walking, use a wheelchair or for children in strollers.
Many World War II fortifications are located in areas close to the Norwegian border. The town of Fulunäs recently raised a statue in memory of first responder soldiers.
