Archaeological Museum

The Archaeological Museum opened in 1965 and displays exhibits of Corfu's history. The two main exhibits are the Gorgon Pediment and the Menekrates Lion. The Gorgon Pediment is part of the Artemis Temple and the Menekrates Lion is a crouching lion statue found in a tomb not far from Corfu Town.

The museum is open at the following times:
8.30am to 3.00pm Tuesday to Saturday
9.30am to 2.30pm Sunday
It is closed on Monday

Corfu Airport is located beside the sea. It is open 24 hours per day for international flights.
Facilities include a restaurant, snack bar, banking, car rental, information desk and a couple of little shops. The departure lounge has a large duty free and a couple of smaller shops. Outside the airport there is ample car parking and Corfu's capital is located 2km away.

Mon Repos

Mon Repos is a palace which dates from 1826 and which was the birthplace of Prince Phillip, Duke of Edinburgh in 1921. It was a residence of King George I of Greece and also the home of Governor Parini during the Italian occupation. It is located near the archaeological site of Palaeopolis, which is believed to have been the original site of ancient Kerkyra. Normal admission fees for adults are €3 but there is free admission on Sundays during November to March.

Boat Tour

Kalypso Star

The Kalypso Star is a glass bottom boat that sets sail from the old port of Corfu. The boat can take 50 passengers out to sea to view the marine life, which is attracted to the boat by divers with food. Sea Lions and their trainers also perform for the passengers in their natural habitat.

Museum of Asian Art

The Museum of Asian Art is located in the Royal Palace at the Palea Anactora - complex and is open daily except on Mondays. Adult entrance tariffs are €3 and summer hours (April to October) are from 08h00 to 19h30 whilst the rest of the year it is from 08h30 to 15h00. The museum exhibits date from 11BC and include pottery, art, sculpture, porcelain, furnishings and more. Golf Course

Corfu Golf Club

This 72-Par, 18-hole flat golf course with water hazards was established in 1973 to the design of Donald Harradine. Fees for a day ticket are €90 and for 18-holes it is €55, whilst 9-hole green fees are €35.

The course is open daily but reservations are required during May, September and October. Facilities include a Pro-shop and clubhouse with lounge, bar and restaurant. Details of various events such as the Spring Festival are available at the website.
