Casual comfort helps overcome elements

User review
[Caradawn, 19.03.2008] Susan Kurosawa stayed in a ground floor apartment at this hotel. She said that it was "well positioned" with the beach across the road and past a grassed area. Within "easy" walking distance is a supermarket, cafes, shops, banks and a bottle shop. It was not "ultra-luxurious", but she felt that she could "relax" there. She described it as "hard wearing" and "fashionably generic".

Kurosawa couldn't see the sea from her unit, but mentioned that some apartments had ocean views. She described her unit as "white an bright" with "contemporary" decor and "quality" fittings. It had a "well-equipped" kitchen, laundry, terraces and two televisions. There was "plenty" of room, the main bedroom had an ensuite and the other bathroom was "large". Her one complaint was that the pillows were "devilishly uncomfortable" and the beds a "little too hard".

She had a facial and pedicure at the "excellent" day spa and swam in the pool with "exuberant" children. She mentioned that the other guests were "mostly families" and the staff at the front desk was "helpful". The front desk also had "plenty" of material on attractions and tours.

The Element on Coolum is located about 15 minutes drive from the airport and 90 minutes from Brisbane.
