For over 80 years we have been offering hospitality to visitors of all ages and nationalities, with many guests returning here time and time again.Our double rooms and single rooms are all spacious, with tasteful, functional, bright and cosy furnishings.
Our 2 large apartments are situated on the uppermost floor of the building. Both feature a private bathroom, 2 rooms and a wonderful view over the rooftops of the city.Our beer garden is open from mid-March to the end of October, and offers a pleasant atmosphere in close proximity to the Rhine. Take your pick from our wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
Our menu comprises a varied selection of small dishes as well as coffee and cakes.
Enjoy the summer in Cologne's Old Town, and savour a cool Kölsch while you admire the wonderful panoramic view of the Rhine.The Rheingarten awaits right outside our front door, and invites you to take long walks along the banks of the Rhine, past the listed buildings of the Old Town.
The city centre can also be reached with ease and has much to offer, from shops and cultural attractions to a vibrant night life and many large events.
In close proximity to the hotel you find the "Groß St.Martin", one of the most attractive romantic churches in Cologne, the town hall with its old marketplace, the Gürzenich, the Wallraf Richartz Museum, the Ludwig Museum, the Cologne Philharmonic Orchestra, the theatre "Senftöpfchen", the "Hänneschen" puppet theatre, the Musical Dome, the Imhoff Stollwerck Chocolate Museum, the Sports and Olympic Museum and much more.Arriving from the Cologne-Bonn "Verteilerkreis" roundabout:
- Approach the roundabout "Am Verteilerkreis" and leave it at the exit Militärringstraße, heading towards Rheinufer
- At the end of Militärringstraße you will see a set of traffic lights
- Follow the course of the road to the left, and head towards the ciy centre ("Stadtmitte") by travelling along the banks of the Rhine via the following roads:
- Oberländerufer
- Gustav-Heinemann-Ufer
- Agrippinaufer
- Am Bayenturm
- Bayenstraße
- Auf dem Holzmarkt
- Am Leystapel
- After approx. 3.7 km you will see a Total petrol station, just before the "Rheinufertunnel" tunnel
- Get in the left-hand lane
- At the next set of traffic lights turn left into the road Am Filzengraben
- Take the right-hand lane until you reach the next set of traffic lights, where you turn right into the road Am Malzbüchel
- Continue along the right-hand lane until you reach another set of traffic lights, where you turn right to enter the road Am Heumarkt
- Get in the left-hand lane and you will see an underpass with a set of traffic lights in front of it
- Turn left and drive through the underpass
- The left-hand lane takes you directly to the underground car park "Am Heumarkt"
- From there, the hotel is just a 5-minute walk awayThe central and yet peaceful location of the Rhein-Hotel St.Martin makes it the ideal base for business travellers, holidaymakers and those on a short city break. It lies close to the Rhine in Cologne's Old Town, in the heart of the Rheingarten and opposite the jetties of the Köln Düsseldorfer ship company. Please call the hotel in advance if you plan to arrive before 13:00.Cancellation Policy: If cancelled or modified up to 18:00 on the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled or modified later or in case of no-show, 80 percent of the first night will be charged.
Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 6 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
