I booked this particular hotel which was only a basic place that offered some good facilities as optional extras including massage and other beauty treatments that would be good to some people. The prices of the massage and beauty treatments are competitively priced from what I saw on display in a leaflet left in the bedroom. I paid a reasonably low price of 35 euros a night for two single beds in one room. The problem with the rooms arguably was the room whilst quite big, for two single beds asides one another made the room appear quite cramped slightly. I did like the low price and the cleanliness and the ease of check in overall. The staff were efficient in seeing us to our room as well as welcoming us to Cologne. This was my first visit to Germany, and I enjoyed staying here, despite the lack of facilities in the hotel overall.
I did like the fact that there were plenty of restaurants located quite nearby which only required a few minutes walk. The town centre was a good ten minute walk away from the Pension Storch. The pleasing thing about this place was that it is located on a quiet road and there are no distractions at night which is always good. I also liked the shower area which was nice and clean as well as the bed linen. I am happy with my stay here and would recommend this to anyone on a budget. This place is well worth using as a base for a short stay.
