[johnbcuthbert, 05/04/2010] A small group of self-catering cottages in a converted farm complex. The owners, Hilary & Jaques Hankin, live on site in what was the first brewery operated by the Jennings family when they started brewing in 1828. The brewery is now in Cockermouth.
Two pubs about a mile away for food but no other building nearer than 1 / 2 a mile and peace is what you get if that is what you want. Within easy reach of Cockermouth, Keswick and the Northern Lakes and Fells of the Lake District, plenty to do and see.
