[serendipity, 11/09/2011] It’s a theme park, there are plenty of rides and we enjoyed the jousting as it made the place more interesting than the usual theme park. The place does look a bit tired and needs a bit of an update. Even the shop was uninspiring and the food hall offered only greasy food.
Because the map was not easy to follow, it was tricky to work out where to go for the attractions and the toilets.
The children had a good time and it was worth a visit while we were in the area but there are better theme parks.
[hanbob123, 10/08/2011] A great day out especially if you're with children. I would say it's more suitable for children than Alton Towers, although its slightly smaller than Alton Towers, so doesn't have as many rides. Another thing which distinguishes Camelot from other Amusement Parks, is that it keeps the "Camelot" theme going throughout the park. There are places to eat, although they are few and far between in comparison to a few other themeparks i've been to. All in all - Excellent and worth visiting at least once!
[debmercury, 19/11/2009] How to get there
Yarrow Valley Country Park is southwest of Chorley Lancashire it is just off the B5251 Road which is inbetween Chorley and Coppull.
You can get a bus from Chorley bus station C2, C3 and 362 which run every 15 minutes throughout the day.
Our Visit
Walking around the park is a lovely way to spend a couple of hours observing nature. There are many different walks from nature trails to history trails which vary in length from 1-4 hours (details, maps and pamphlets available from the visitor centre). Some of these walks are suitable for wheelchairs or prams.

[jo145, 02/07/2009] The Pines is a Victorian-style hotel, which was built in 1895 and stands within beautiful landscaped gardens and mature woodlands. I was surprised to see a sign saying they had won Britain in Bloom award for 4 years.
Comfortable rooms and great restaurant, close to M6. Rooms for conferences and separate suite for weddings. Friendly staff.
[frankiecesca, 03/01/2008] Camelot theme park reminds me of my school days as every year in junior school we went to Camelot.
The whole scholl would piles onto the coaches and make our way there. Travelling from Manchester it wouldn't take us long before we were in this magical land.
When you're a child between the ages of 5 and 12 this park is great as there are loads of rides and things to do and see so it is perfect - however it is not reallt suited to older visitors who like more adrenaline type rides as there is really many that area!!
I would say that some of the best rides here are Excalibur, The Rack an
