Management has obviously sold the staff on the notion of being polite to guests and treating them right. The staff was extremely polite and helpful, which I really appreciated. Everyone made eye contact, smiled, and said hello. Bell staff, Housekeeping, room service all were very, very helpful courteous and out-of-sight polite.
We were on 16th floor. No street noise other than sirens (which were only a few). The room was incredibly comfortable and amazingly clean. The Housekeeping staff obviously takes their job seriously and it showed. We were traveling with 2 young children and I would say it is a very kid-friendly place (I noticed a number of other families staying there too). Upon check-in we were offered a “kid-friendly room that had a Wii and great children’s books. The bathroom had cool Crayola bath products and the room even had a chalk board for the kids to draw on. It was incredible and the kid’s felt totally at home!
Location was great and right in the heart of shopping and sightseeing. We took our kids to the Lego store and the Children’s Museum and it was all so convenient and easy to get to.
This has been our only visit to Chicago, so I have no other hotel experience there for comparison, but the Crowne Plaza was terrific. Many kudos and thanks to the staff for their positive attitude and politeness. They made us feel very special and we're just common folks!
