[LoungeLizzard, 29/11/2011] I like this place; it is a perfect combination of modern design and traditional Thai values and historic buildings. The service is warm and offers a personal touch you do not find in bigger chain hotels with 100+ rooms. The serenity and the atmosphere makes this place worth to visit - it is perfect to come down to earth after a busy time.
[kaeferchen, 04/03/2011] We had a pleasent stay at Thapae Gate Lodge, the rooms are very nice, especially for the money you pay. the food is great, especially if you have been travelling for a long time and need a break from Asian food (which does not mean the Asian food offered is bad!!!). The staff is very helpful, although we found that somethimes they use to forget request if you do not remind them, e.g. our reservation, the time we wanted to leave to catch our train.... but this was handled statisfactory after a friendly reminder. The Hotel is located quite good, its quite and clean. The owners are very friendly

Very nice clean rooms, full wifi and lovely pool.
Trips can be organised tailored to whatever you want to do. Yoga and massage therapies are available to a very high standard.

[rudierudeboy, 16/03/2010] Definitely the best Place to stay in Chiang Mai: Cosy and clean Rooms, friendly, competent and helpful staff.Good and safe food, from Thai Food to very rare and uncommon western food (Try the Baguette!)I've stayed there for ten days in January and it was definitely one of the best accommodations during my now six month of traveling. And all this for really cheap rates!
Try it! :-)
[Jack4, 23/09/2009] We did the Chiang Mai Treasures 3 day cycling excursion with our tour guide Fokke.
Everything on this trip was excellent, from the start to the end.
The bikes are al new and in very good shape, the idyllic situated resorts are very nice and the food was fantastic.
Since our guide used to be a chef he knew exactly what to order so that even our children (10 & 11) liked al the Thai food he gave to them.
The tour is very relaxed and also flat, even our children had no problems with the 45 km biking per day.
If you want to see a lot of local culture and beautiful nature ypu have to make this
