[Ray01, 10/10/2011] Perfect location for beach and centre (without the noise).
We stayed at the Albatros from 04 - 18 September. You'd be hard put on to find a cleaner, friendlier accommodation. The staff, from cleaner to management were always eager to assist.
The superior rooms are a good size, with all creature comforts included.
The food in the main restaurant, was at times a bit mundane. But, there was a wide variety of dishes, and also the show cooking. So, nobody has to go hungry.
The snackbar food is no good if you're a weight watcher!. BIG PORTIONS!!!
And if you do over eat. You can burn the extra pounds

The old part of the Hotel ist absolute disastours. The rooms look like the was built at the ´50 and never renovate. The room cleaning service didn´t do her job. Bedlinen would not change if it´s dirty, mirrow would not cleaned, etc.
Breakfast and service was OK also here the Personal is very friendly.
Dinner was not realy good, the food tasted like nothing and you have to pay your drinks (I booked half board so t thought the drinks are including at dinner. At breakfast they are including).
Pool / Bar was really good.

If you want good food at good prices,----------------go somewhere else !
Now, if you want excellent cuisine at good prices, you`re at the right spot. My partner and I have been going to hersonissos every year since `97 and each holiday enjoy at least two visits to
`New China`. The food,----magnificent, the service,-----unbeatable, the prices,---- very affordable,
all in all, not to be missed. Bruce & Anna.

The flight from terminal 2 Manchester was a standard, cramped affair with the usual tasteless flight meal and rushing to get off the plane before it has even stopped moving.
Upon arrival at Crete, your luggage comes through fairly quickly. It is smallish airport with 4 small carousels. You will need to exit the terminal between carousels 1 and 2 because right outside of there are the 2 Thomson huts waiting to check off your name.
Your cases are loaded onto the coach and the next time you see them is in your room.
