The Hotel Kandinsky, Cheltenham
The writer clearly did not like his room, which was "pokey", with views of "the back of the kitchen". He describes the bed as seemingly from "an operating theatre" and having a "wobbly leather headrest", whilst the carpet felt "like the shingle on Brighton beach".
