Detailed review by Mikesh
Location: Between Phuket Town and Chalong-about a 30 minute drive from patong.
Timings: 10am to 2-3pm
History: One of the most important temples in phuket. No one knows when it was exactly built, it is believed to be built during the reign of King Rama II. It is dedicated to two monks, Luang Pho Chaem and Luang Pho Chuang who with their knowledge of medicine helped the tin miners when they had rebelled.
Review: It is a must see for any tourist visiting Phuket. We were glad we didn't miss it. At the temple you can light some candle and essence. Photography is allowed inside the temple so dont forget your camera. It was mentioned that men should remove their caps and women should not wear short shorts or sleeve less. Most of the people followed this, the girls had carried jeans and long skirts to wear over their shorts and their actions of wearing them before entering the temple were appreciated by the locals. There were a lot of people who didn't follow this(tourists). They were allowed to enter the temple without any objection. In this temple they have a place to burst firecrackers, the people burst it without a warning so be careful of the loud sudden noise, as all of us and the people around were stunned when they bursted he crackers. They have a few shops near the temples, which has some different things than patong beach and cheaper. The coconut water we had there was cheaper and better than patong. The water was way sweeter, and the person selling was way more nicer.
