[more]We warmly invite you to come and stay in our friendly and informal Bed and Breakfast. Situated in the centre of the pretty market village of Chaillac, near Argenton-sur-Creuse. Down a little lane next to the beautiful 15th century Chateau. An easy drive from the A20, exit junction 20 or 21 and follow the signs to Saint Benoit du Sault then signs to Chaillac. A restful stopover when travelling between the North and South of France.
Our recently renovated village house was built originally to provide housing for the servants from the chateau, now we hope we have created a warm and homely chambres d'hotes keeping all the old world charm but with all the modern comforts you will need and where you will enjoy a comfortable and relaxing stay.
As our guest we would like you to think of our house as your house for the time you are with us. All our rooms are centrally heated to keep you warm on even the coldest winter's day.
As well as offering you a room for the night we also provide you with breakfast. A typical breakfast consists of croissants and assorted breads, home-made jam and marmalade, a selection of yogurts. Beverages of fruit juice, coffee, Hot chocolate, English and herbal teas are offered. In the warmer weather breakfast is served on our sun terrace
In the evenings we can offer you a great three-course dinner, served in our cosy dining room in front of the wood-burning stove. Before moving to France I was a head chef and have worked all over the world so it should be no problem finding something to tantalize your taste buds. My ingredients whenever possible, include fresh local and organic produce.
Situated in a quiet road, a stroll away from the village square in Chaillac, a few minutes drive from either junction 20 or 21 off the A20 auto route. At the south of the department of L’Indre on the borders of the Limousin, a short drive from Argenton sur Creuse, Montmorillon, Saint Benoit du Sault, Eguzon and La Souterraine. Explore the many towns and villages and enjoy walking, cycling, fishing or simply relaxing in the quiet country lanes, in the woods or by the many rivers and lakes – soaking up the natural beauty of the region.
Whatever your reasons for visiting us, whether it be a holiday, a long weekend or simply a stopover, you will be assured of a warm welcome.
