The hotel itself is relatively modern. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The general fabric overall is a bit tired and in need of a general refurbishment. Whne i live in Lima thatw as my favorite church. It's so quite being in plain Lima downtown. The church's walls are over 1 yd wide. Great sapacious suites with good wifi connection, good 24 / 7 service, nice small gym and cool bar. Staff was bilingual which helped quite a bit and always felt welcomed. Good choice if you go to Bogota

[doronshulman, 05/01/2012] Met with a group of fellow israelies that were staying there during New Year's break and found this jewel of a hotel in Bogota. Huge rooms, nice people, very large selection of dishes, etc. I am booking my next trip at the Lancaster House for sure.
[trashtt, 31/12/2011] I spent 2 weeks at the Decameron, the bus ride is brutal,3 hrs, no washroom on the bus so you have to watch your intake of liquid.
The resort is nice, clean and very friendly. Some of the staff go way out of their way for you, very nice.
The guests are great and also friendly.
The cleaning staff do a great job and nothing was taken from my room, nice change compared to Mexico.
The pools and beaches are great, but the booze is watered down, so bring a bottle.

[StevenHampshire, 20/12/2011] While there are a great many five star hotels in Cuba's popular Varadero region, the Iberostar Varadero is without a doubt one of the nicest of them all. The staff were friendly and helpful, the accommodations were clean and well-maintained, and the amenities - spas and swimming pools in particular - were truly wondrous. It wasn't perfect and I would only really go there as a backpacker but, for what I wanted at the time, it was perfect..
A nice setting, a lovely vibe around the hammocks and strong coffee, my favourite memory was waking up in the morning and hearing the music drift over the outside area to discover who was up and what the day brought you...

[Aldo26, 12/12/2011] I stayed in this hotel in April 2006, but I have learned from people that have travelled very recently there that it is still the same.
Old hotel, old lobby, old rooms, very old bathrooms... the rooms were old fashioned and big enough to fit three people easily, but the windows did not work properly, the water temperature in the bathroom was always changing and the beds were not to confortable.
The breakfast was pretty much just ommelettes with whatever you choosed between ham, cheese and mushrooms.

[zezinho, 01/12/2011] recently had the opportunity to stay there with some friends. This hotel eis a midsize property, with great style and decor, especially for a place that is not overly expensive or big. The staff was cordial and actually, more than one spoke English, and Portuguese which for me was great. Plus, value was a good deal. I will try to be back in Bogota soon, and if so, I will definitely go back to the Lancaster House

Fabulous room with a jacuzzi inside and a shower, good comfortable bed.

[katec8888, 21/11/2011] Petronila and Rosabel have been incredible hosts- so friendly, helpful and welcoming. They are very beautiful people and we have been extremely lucky to have met them and stayed with them here in Cuba.
Even for us without a word of Spanish and for them without a word of English, nothing has been a problem. It has been an absolute pleasure to stay in their home as they have made it feel like home for us. Really like a home away from home here in Havana.

Rooms are in severals differnets style of salvador spirit's.
The owner stephane and Gerusa are always care of you before you need something. Just enjoy the place the delicious breakfast and the atmosphere before discover these amazing town of all colors of yhe life
