| Description: |
Fairburn Ings is a 700 acre wetland nature reserve that is owned and managed by the RSPB. These wetlands are a legacy of the coal mining industry that was once prominent in this area. There are a number of hides and boardwalks which makes it ideal for birdwatching and family outings. It is located in the Aire Valley just a few km to the east of Leeds and right next to the A1M Motorway. Access to the reserve is free and it is open every day throughout the year. |
