It has been designed in the purest Mediterranean style and nestles on the top of cliffs in a privileged position, overlooking the sea. The use of Mediterranean white and natural materials, also gives the building a feeling of lightness as it blends seamlessly into its surroundings.

At the Hostal de La Gavina, the inside and outside unite in harmony in an original location, surrounded by trees on all sides, reminiscent of a huge park.
The gardens at the Hostal de La Gavina are wide, open spaces overlooking the sea where guests can stroll, have an aperitif or sunbathe. As the garden is blessed by both sun and shade: the Mediterranean sun and the shade of our hundred-year-old pine trees, olive trees, lemon trees, white mulberry trees, magnolia trees and palm trees.
At the Hostal de La Gavina we have decided to reserve part of the sea for our guests, a private sea.
Our outdoor swimming pool, looking out to a clear, maritime horizon, is a salt-water pool, and the surroundings have been especially designed so that guests can enjoy the Mediterranean sun and light in comfort: within the pool area you will find a Garbí Restaurant, Garbí Terrace and Blue Bar, trees, the solarium and our special cabanas: private amenities equipped with bathrooms, porch and terrace that enable you to enjoy an unforgettable day at the swimming pool.
At the Hostal de La Gavina, you can choose between different atmospheres where you can enjoy an aperitif, a drink in the evening or meet up with friends.

The Camino de Ronda, a pathway along the cliff tops linking two major beauty spots on the coast (the bay of Sant Pol and the Sa Conca beach) meanders round the Hostal de La Gavina.

The Baix Empordà is also an excellent starting point to explore Romanesque architecture as it boasts a number of important monuments from this period. But the predominant architectural style in the area is the Gothic style.
