Description Villa Carona
This 200 year old patrician estate with a lot of history, is bordered by an attractive quaint village.The Romantik and Swiss Historic Hotel is managed and owned by the family Deubner-Marty. Each room is individually decorated and furnished with antique pieces. Situated at 602m above sea level, built by artists and uniquely situated between Monte San Salvatore and Monte Arbostora (822m) stands a 1000 year old village.
Stadio Giuseppe Meazza dates from 1925 when its construction began, the first match was played here in 1926. In those early days this stadium was called the San Siro Stadium, a name which some still call it today. It is the home of A C Milan who were joined in 1947 by F.C. Internazionale Milano and both teams still share the stadium today. The name was changed to honour Guiseppe Meazza a two times World Cup winner who had played for both teams.
The latest renovations to the stadium took place for the 1990 World Cup to bring it up to UEFA five star standards.
The Stadio Giuseppe Meazza has a seating capacity of 85,700 of which 5,200 are VIP seats and 200 reserved for press. Spectators enter through 51 turnstiles where they can view the pitch that is 105 metres x 68 metres in size. Tickets for the games can costs between 11.85 Euros and 69 Euros.
The Stadium is located approximately 8 kilometres from the city centre and holds guided tours, it also has a museum, which is open daily from 10am until 5pm, admission costs 12.50 Euros.
