[more]Jock's Burn is a small river which runs through the town of Carluke and the surrounding villages. The area is covered in vegetation, including many native species of trees. A footpath allows visitors to walk along the river and through the woodland. Certain parts of this path are currently damaged and the some of the bridges are old and are beginning to erode.
The start of the walkway is located five minutes from Carluke Railway Station. Public parking is available in the town, approximately 15 minutes from the burn. There are also regular bus services to Carluke from Glasgow, Hamilton, Motherwell and Lanark.
