[more]The Everyman Summer Theatre Festival is an annually held event in Cardiff that is organized by the Everyman Theatre Company since 1982 and is also part of the Cardiff Festival, a series of festivals and events that runs throughout the whole summer.
Since 1995 the festival is held on the grounds of the National History Museum St Fagans, an open-air museum reflecting on Welsh life style and set within 100 acres of parkland where the around 45 performances of the festival will be held on open-air stages, all seating is under cover though.
The festival covers traditionally at least one Shakespeare play and one family show for visitors of all ages and since 2009 also one musical. The performances are entirely played by amateurs and everybody who wants to be part, thinks they have the talent and the necessary time is welcome to audition.
