User review
[squidge, 05.05.2008] Considered by Frommers to be Carcassonne's "premier" address for food and accommodation, this 18th century "cube-shape" manor house, covered by moss, can be found 2.5 kilometres west of the Cité.

Many rooms have "massive" ceiling beams, and all are said to have a "photo-magazine aura" with a "range" of "decorative styles". Some rooms are situated "on the ruins" of a medieval monastery in "stone-sided annexes". The bathrooms are said to be "first-rate".

It's a family run Relais & Châteaux hotel, which serves "well-crafted" and also "well-conceived" meals, which are served by the pool when the weather is "clement". One of the allures is the "well-conceived meals" which are of "local" recipes bu made "glamorous" by the chef.
From the hotels' golf course, there are "sweeping panoramas" over the countryside.

Frommers rate the Domaine d'Auriac three stars, an exceptional choice.
