Everything you ever need to know about Egypt
There is so much to see at the Egyptian Museum you probably need a few days there. The Tutankhamun stuff is incredible. You really need to go with a guide though, there is so much you will never know what to see or where it is. | Description: | Centrally located and open daily from 09.00 – 18.30, this museum features more than 100 000 exhibits which include the treasures from various pharaohs’ tombs. Although only a copy of the famous Rosetta-stone is on display (the original being in London), there are many sarcophagi and other valuable items. For an extra fee of approximately 10 Euro visitors can also view a separate chamber which contains 11 mummies, including that of Ramses II. |
