The Hotel: Hotel Conchita is located in the Cogon Public Market area at Cagayan de Oro City. The taxi took thirty to forty minutes from the city airport. Although within the market area, my stay was quite peaceful and quiet - I barely heard the busy street outside.
I stayed in a deluxe room and was satisfied with the spacious area. The room was tidied and bed’s sheets were replaced daily. Air-conditioning was alright. They have a cable TV, cabinets and a table and chair provided in the room.
The bathroom was clean and had hot and cold shower. Toiletries were provided but barely used them.
Thumbs Up: The hotel personnel were quite friendly and very accommodating. Room service was prompt and professional.
Boos: The television set had cable but the channels were quite limited. There wasn’t a remote control available during my stay so I had to push the TV buttons to look for a good show to watch.
Going around: There are plenty of taxis around town and from the airport that can take you to any point in the city. Just make sure that their taxi meter is working so you'd know exactly how much you have to pay.
Insider Tips: They serve breakfast around 0630am so if you really need to get going early, inform them the night before your trip. They usually prepare a tasty clubhouse sandwich for those who need to leave the hotel early.
