My partner and I spent 6 nights in one of 'Charo's Houses' in this beautiful and tranquil place. It was unlike any holiday we'd ever experienced, and we'd come again in a heartbeat. The views from all angles were amazing - mountains, hills and plains all around. The grounds and surroundings felt completely unspoilt, with not a hint of tackiness or the commercial.
Sweet local towns, restaurants, shops and sandy beaches are all under 10 minutes away by car, but if you stock up with food at the start of your trip you can stay put in this little oasis, spending your time ambling from the outdoor jacuzzi to the kitchen and back again! The house was brilliantly equipped with every kitchen utensil we needed, as well as comfy chairs, dining table, TV, wifi and books in many languages.
We spent most evenings in front of the wood burning fire, having collected the wood ourselves from the piles freshly chopped for guests. We also had a very memorable experience at the impressive outdoor barbecue, where we were joined by some resident cats and a loveable labrador - all extremely well-behaved and friendly.
