[more]The Chashma-Ayub Mausoleum dates back to 13th century on top of a spring. According to the legends on this exact place the biblical prophet Job struck his staff on the ground and a spring appeared which is why the name translates as "Spring of Job".
The mausoleum is located in a cemetery not far from the Ismail Samani Mausoleum. The building has four inner structures, each of them from a different period, and while the oldest parts date back to 1208 the newer parts were added during the 14th and 16th century.
