[bluejules, 20/08/2006] In February, I went to Budapest with my parents for a few days. My dad booked the break over the internet (flights and accommodation) so he chose the hotel that we stayed in. Having stayed in a Marriott hotel on a previous holiday, I was not disappointed when he told us that we would be staying in a Marriott in Budapest. [itsem, 20/10/2005] Atlas hotel was reasonably priced, for two nights we stayed in a double room for £45 each. We booked it through the website octopustravel.com.
The hotel is a bit further out of town than I would have liked, but every cab driver knew where it was and it is walk able into the main part of town as long as you are wearing comfortable shoes! The area surrounding it is typical of the outskirts of a city, a supermarket, some old closed down buildings and a few off licence type places. It is also situated right next to a tattoo parlour! It was a quiet area too, and I heard no noise at night -

[fizzytom, 09/08/2005] We booked Hotel Baross Panzio through the friend of a friend who had just set up a travel accommodation agency in the Czech Republic. She was also offering to help people book accommodation in other cities of eastern Europe. My friend had originally mentioned her to me when I was looking for a room in Prague for the first night of my holiday but I had already manged to find something suitable. However I said that if she could come up with anything for Budapest, I would be grateful. She suggested this hotel, a little more expensive than the price I had mentioned ( this was during a backpacking
