The Amigo, opened in 1958 and totally refurbished in 2001, is located in the centre of the city, next to the Grand Place which is considered by many to be the most beautiful square in Europe. The refurbishment, together with our pledge of the highest levels of five-star accomodation and personal service, should ensure that you will have a pleasurable stay, whatever the reason for your visit. The new design of the Amigo Hotel is quite traditional with some modern touches and a Flemish feel. Good-sized bathrooms contain mosaic details in red or green to match their marble vanity tops and Tintin figures or Snowy the dog enliven the walls with a touch of humor. In addition we have incorporated the latest in-room facilities, such as two-line phones, voice messaging, interactive satellite television, fax and dataport lines, minibar and safe. The rooms are all air-conditioned. Some traditional features of the hotel have been retained in order to preserve the hotel's history. These include the 18th century Flanders wall tapestries and the authentic Brussels paving stones, which were originally those used in the surrounding streets in 1600.
