[apostolomigs, 25/04/2012] Despite being good value accommodation near centre of Bruges this "hotel" is in real need of some TLC. I was on first floor and going up the stairs was an adventure in itself due to its really bad state.... can't even imagine what was like going to the top floor. The room was clean but even for a youth hostel was well below the standard Ive seen in many less supposedly developed countries. No breakfast provided and the common room was being refurbished so no real place to stay apart from the room. Well worth paying for the train ticket to Ghent instead of staying on Bruges
[hannah_i, 10/04/2012] As soon as we got to our room, I was pretty disappointed with the hotel. There's no way on earth I would call it a 4-star hotel...more like between 2 and 3 stars.
The facade and area around the hotel, as well as the lobby, restaurant and bar area all look very nice and have a good atmosphere. The staff are also very friendly, well trained and helpful with tips on good restaurants / bars in town, where to park, etc. The only downside in this respect, is that the hotel is not within walking distance of the centre (at least not while it's so cold outside!), so it was necessary to go by car or get

[magdadh, 02/04/2012] We visited Bruges on a (very tired and sleepy) way when driving from Poland and toured the old town bleary-eyed and in a bit of a daze, but it was a revelation, lovely, picture perfect little city with its low-countries architecture, pretty market square and enchanting canals (the boat tour is very worth doing). Altogether, a very pleasant memory and I want to go back in a more with-it state of mind.
[Motorwriter, 02/01/2012] The Kempinski in Bruges is rather like entering a palace, with up-market staff to match. It is a four to five minute walk from the main square in a beautifully quiet part of Bruges. The renovation work on an old building is outstanding and they'll even park your car for you ... underground. The food is exquisite, but allow 15 minutes in the bar beforehand, to fully savour the quality of this hotel. The bathrooms in the de-luxe rooms are behind a big glass frontage and are beautifully maintained. Don't stay anywhwere else in Bruges when you have Kempinski. The only down side they flat refuse pe

[Umair, 28/04/2011] Staying in Bruges for a couple nights to visit, I found this quaint hotel online. The hotel, run by a lovely Belgian couple was both cozy and refined. The rooms were well decorated with nice sheets, a well made bathroom and flat screen TV for one to relax with. The included breakfast was delicious, with enough variety to feel satisfied, and the breakfast area had the lived in charm of a family run business. The staff were some of the friendliest people, advising me on the best places to visit and great restaurants to try. The location was also superb, being just one minute walk from Zuidzandst

[kz3a5, 09/03/2011] Hotel is situated about 30 secs walk from the main shopping street and market!
Underground parking is 15euro a day but it's very secure and you are guaranteed a space (public parking nearby 12euro).
Nice room, very clean.
Breakfast was buffet style but still very good and with champagne
Overall a fab experience with excellent rooms, service, food and best of all location.
Brugge is an amazing place - really a must-see.
Wasbest value for money althoug you also pay for the location which is truly worth it!
[Taaner242, 13/12/2010] Last WE I stayed at the wonderful home of Lyne. This historical house contains 3 rooms. I stayed at the suite Aubusson where I had a sweet night in the big bed and a relaxing bath on sunday morning.
Breakfast is served in the salon with an open fire and a view on the church and Gruuthuuse museum just at the the other site of the canal.
From this central place you can have nice walks in the historical city. All important museums are just around the corner, and it is only minutes to the market place, city hall, park,...
[Taaner242, 17/08/2009] Our stay at this nice hotel was a excellent experience. As soon as we arrived we felt us warmly welcome. The room was pico bello decorated in all details. Breakfast was so nice, you should stay hours in that nice breakfast room with a real AGA.
[Catti, 20/10/2008] We stayed at De Barge Hotel in July 2008. Found it absolutely enchanting and not far from all main attractions. We only had to walk up the road and we were in the City centre which was just what we wanted. We were fortunate enough to have the Captains cabin which - although cosy- was more than adequate for our needs.
The staff were very obliging and breakfast was the usual good quality buffet. Very good value for money and would love to stay there again!
[Catti, 20/10/2008] We arrived after midnight following a very long journey and were delighted to find a receptionist still waiting up for us! She was very helpful in showing us the hotel and parking and even directed us to the best areas for some instant nightlife.
We had booked their smallest room being only on a stop over and knowing that we would not be at the hotel long, but it was more than adequate and we would not hesitate to stop there again. We tried to book for our return trip but sadly they were fully booked!
[koshkha, 07/06/2007] I returned a few days ago from a conference in Bruges, Belgium - a city known far more as a cheap weekend break destination with its twee lace making, pretty canals and image as the Venice of the North (though admittedly without the smelly water and the £10-a-go espressos). I had no say in where I stayed as the conference organisers had block booked the Crowne Plaza and my room was charged at a rate of €155 per night which I suspect was probably a discount on the normal rate.
Where is it?
The Crown Plaza is one of the best situated hotels in the city and sits on the square known as Burg

[proxam, 06/08/2005] Last year, I took advantage of a special offer from Superfast Ferries and sailed to Belgium, the intention being to do a bit of shopping and spend some time in Bruges. As we were staying overnight, we needed a hotel, and the hotel we chose was the IBIS BRUGGE CENTRUM.
Booking this hotel is simplicity itself. The website is very easy to use and once you complete the search for your chosen property, just fill in your details and three clicks later your room is booked.
It's also easy to cancel - we had to change our booking due to a fff...fowl-up with the ferry company. Within a few minutes,
