[Batesy, 15/01/2012] From checking in to checking out the service and professionalism of everyone was first class.
We will definately return. This is a classy hotel and brilliant value. I highly recommend
[jholder9, 11/01/2012] I stayed here with my partner for one night in March 2011. We had the superior room right at the top of the hotel. The hotel seems to be on a slant which made walking up the stairs feel very odd indeed, and you can tell in the room that everything is a bit tilted but it really doesn't affect the hotel that much.
The most amazing thing about this hotel is the view..it's superb! We had the best view of the pier that I could even imagine! It was honestly out of this world...you should stay at this hotel just because of the view-seriously.
The hotel is clean and the staff are polite, althoug

[dragons, 01/11/2011] The hotel was lovely and the staff very friendly, until we got to are room and found one off the walls was black with damp and the lights were not working properly.
[dkfamily, 29/08/2011] A room in the basement, dark, no views - not even to the sky and not very large when staying a family. Very noisy at nights when other guests came home late. Dissappointed. Not in accordance with the website promising large rooms and possibility for sea views, all presented with photos of rooms that are not anywhere like the one we had.
[TagPas, 25/08/2011] Recently stayed at this hotel, booked via an online site, costing over £100 per night, stayed 4 nights,on arrival ,they could not find room key,so we had to keep ringing bell to come and and go to owed room all night, given key following morning, not a good start, the room was a double with sea view,it was on the ground floor, you would really struggle to see the sea from the room,it was very noisy with all the coming and going from the other guest, doors constantly slamming.the room itself was very poor, worn and tatty furnishings, very dismal ,the ensuite was basically a broom cupboard, very tiny and n

[taffeeeee, 15/08/2011] On arrival check in was easy and friendly which was a good start ,when we got to our room we were very disaponted with the room.We knew we would not get a room change as it was pride weekend and the hotel was full so we made do.The double room was very small there was dust all round the room and looked like it had been cleaned quickly, all the furniture was a mix of differnt styles and not what we would have expected from what was claimed in there online ad as "the small hotel with best of big hotel service", i think they need to go to a big hotel to see what rooms are like and what service the

[m22perth, 26/07/2011] Carpet was old, dirty and damp next to bathroom door. Window was so dirty you could hardly see out of it. The room smelt of damp.
The rooms could do with updating then a good deep clean.
Breakfast was nice and staff friendly enough.
[jennifer_w, 17/03/2011] Brighton is one of the most cosmopolitan and energetic cities to visit in England. There is so much to see and do here. A great day out, no matter what time of year, is a day out on Brighton pier.
I've been going here since I was a child and it never gets tiresome. It really does have something to accommodate everybody, from timid rides to huge terrifying roller coasters, from bars to a typically English fish and chips restaurant.
The pier is well known as being among one of the best ever built and has been standing for well over a hundred years. Each and every time I've been it has always bee

[momm, 12/12/2010] Comfortable bed, soft pillows, lovely shortbread biscuits, loads of tea / coffee etc and well-appointed bathroom. Friendly and helpful staff, and all you need as a base for a holiday stay. Great location, handy for shops, seafront, pier etc. Breakfast was also good for the price we paid. My only criticism would be that the building could do with an elevator and a bit of a facelift to the interior decor. Apart from that, all good, thank you, and I'd stay here again.
[upminsterkid, 16/03/2010] Welcoming hospitality, friendly and curtious staff, excellent breakfast. Functional and well appointed room. An all round enjoyable stay.

[micksheff, 18/06/2009] Officially known as the Mechanical Memories Museum this is small museum that enjoys a location right on Brighton's seafront. It is located in an area known as "The Arches" which stretches either side of the pier and the museum lies just to the west of the pier, but very close to it, maybe less than 100 metres away.
The Arches is the name given to the area that occupies the space below the promenade at beach level. Since the promenade is raised above the level of the beach it effectively sits on top of a bridge and "The Arches" are the arches of this bridge that date back to Victorian times.

The museum is named after the Victorian natural historian Edward Thomas Booth who spent much of his life in Brighton. Primarily it houses his personal collection of stuffed birds but there are also animals, insects, fossils and skeletons. These collections were amassed during his lifetime and contain over half a million different specimens. He lived between 184

[micksheff, 05/05/2009] Running for a length of around two kilometres along Brighton's seafront Volk's Electric Railway is the oldest operating electric railway system in the world. Established in 1883 it was not the first electric rail system of its kind, that award goes to a similar system at Lichterfelde, Berlin that predates this one by a couple of years. However that one no longer operates so Brighton's version qualifies as the oldest one still in use.
Brighton's electric railway is a narrow gauge railway that was the brainchild of Magnus Volk. It operates between the Aquarium, adjacent to the pier to the marin

[micksheff, 05/05/2009] Seaside piers seem to be a very British tradition and there are many different examples to be found in England and Wales, although oddly none exist north of the border in Scotland. Brighton's pier is one of the most famous of them all. Officially known as The Brighton Marine Palace Pier or the Palace Pier for short it officially opened in the May of 1899. By this date the Victorians and their predecessors had already built many other piers, including two earlier ones at Brighton.
Brighton's first pier was constructed in 1823. This was known as The Royal Suspension Chain Pier and still existed
