[14/02/2008] Classed as mid-range, price wise, the Lonely Planet Guide says of the Seaspray Themed Hotel that it is "small and comfortable" with "themed" rooms which are proposed to "budget" travellers. According to the guide, the guestrooms are not "plush" but have a "fun" decor, which makes it original. All of the guestrooms have "small queen-size" beds.
Korina Miller, author of this review, mentions the "tiny" Warhol room, which is "bright and funky", with a "soup can" bedside table. The Renaissance room is "more subdued" and romantic with a view from the balcony over the sea. The Boudoir suite, decorated with "feathers galore" has its own "small private" courtyard. Some of the rooms have "daybeds", which can serve as a single.
The lounge is said to be "cosy", with an Asian decor, statues, flowers and "palms", and there is a "mountain of brochures" to look at. You can take breakfast in your room, or a "professional" massage. Extra rooms, a "health room" and a bar will be on offer, after the extension works, to the "neighbouring building".
The nearby Sea-Life is the world's "oldest operating" aquarium, displaying "absolutely enormous" sea turtles, seahorses and rays.
