According to the author this hotel is neither "grand nor chic" and also not "fancy" or "smart" but it convinced him as it is "just easy going and genuinely green". The hotel is located within "two graciously bow-fronted townhouses" , only "yards from the beach", and expands over four floors. It offers period features like "narrow winding stairs" and "creaking Georgian floorboards" and the author has noticed that paint has been used to disguise some signs of "dilapidation". He notes that "some of the " single bedrooms are "tiny" and that the "colour schemes" can be "a bit overwhelming" while ot [more]

Recommended by Frommers, this "well-run ecofriendly" hotel is said to be one of Brighton's "more charming" B&Bs. Situated just a couple of blocks from the sea front, making it just a "short walk" from the Pier and Royal Pavilion, it offers a "friendly, informal atmosphere", with rooms which vary in price depending on the "plumbing and furnishings".
