According to the author the Avalon is the "friendliest little bed and breakfast I know". She noted a "strong feeling" of "being welcomed" into a "family" home "from the moment" she arrived. The hotel is "close enough" to the beach and attractions but "sufficiently tucked away" for a "bit of respite". The seven rooms have beed decorated "lovingly" and "eclectically" by the owners with their own "treasured whimsical antiques" and "comfortable" new "functional" pieces.
