[luganostudent, 20/09/2011] Although Bran Castle is known for Dracula, you see very little of him here. The castle itself is quite nice, giving you a little insight into the life of some of the royals in Romania.
Especially for kids I believe the secret stairway would give a thrill.
Around the castle you'll find the typical tourist stalls selling souvenirs.
[liviaivan, 03/01/2010] A place perfect for all age categories, young / old / families. You can find there the confort for a great holyday, no matter the season. The rooms are very clean, large and bright, and what I found great were the 2 common kitchens where you can prepare the meals by your self. Definitly the quality - price report is very good. Brasov is a beautiful mountain city with German influences that you can visit no matter the season. All the time you can find something interesting and / or relaxing to do.
[fizzytom, 22/07/2007] Situated about 25 Kilometres from the picturesque town of Brasov, Bran Castle is probably Romanias most-visited tourist attraction. It is touted, incorrectly, as Draculas Castle and the link with the notorious Vlad Tepes is, if there is any truth in it at all, tenuous to say the least. However, as castles go this one is very attractive and well worth a visit if one is in the area.
The castle was built in the early thirteenth century by the Knights of the Teutonic Order and by the end of that century, it was in the hands of the Saxons who used it to protect Brasov from invaders. In the fift
