Description:	Situated right at the heart of Braintree George Yard Shopping Centre offers the visitor more than 30 shops which provide a broad variety of merchandise. Further there are several cafes and restaurants with in- and outside seating, a post office (located within the Quadrant department store), public toilets and a multi-storey car park. The main entrance to the centre is located in the pedestrian friendly Bank Street in a Grade II listed building. Further entrance gates can be found at Wiseman Walk and Sandpit Lane wheras Baileys Gant is a narrow passageway that leads straight through another listed builing into the centre. There are regular events under the bandstand and visitors with mobility issues are welcome to contact the centre to pre-book a wheel-chair or mobility scooter for their visit.
