[more]Originally built as the Town Hall, Bradfords City Hall was designed by the architects Lockwood and Mawson who also designed St Georges Concert Hall in the city. It opened as Bradford Town Hall in 1873. The clock tower is based on the Palazzo Vecchio in Florence and its bells ring out every 15 minutes across the city.
In 1965 the Town Hall became the City Hall. Today, it is used as the headquarters of the local council. It is a Grade 1 listed building.
