[smokey12, 17/09/2011] Hi me and my partner stayed in room 4 at Ruskins B&B for two nights only recently got home.
over all we enjoyed our stay, nice pub breakfast was really good. it's in a great location there is a cinema practically next door, very close to the lake. But the bed in room 4 was very low like sleeping on the floor also the most uncomfortable mattress i have ever slept on, the toilet in the bathroom didn't flush properly, and it was cold during the night and there was no way of turning the radiator on so the room was cold.
[normanmarshall, 06/07/2011] My wife and I stayed at Hawkrigg recently and we were very impressed by the whole experience. The hosts were wonderful interesting people.
Stunning views, lovely and quiet, very clean and very comfortable and fantastic breakfast plus red deer in the garden.
We would reccommend Hawkrigg to everybody as you are in the heart of the lake district and it is so easy to travel to all the local towns / villages.
We will be back!!

Getting there is fairly straight forward, Junction 36 off the M6, take the A591 towards Keswick turning off onto the A592 towards Newby Bridge with
