Thanet House was built in 1884 as part of the Alum Chine Estate. Originally the mill owners family home it stood on open heath land. The mill no longer remains but the beautiful woodland chine has been preserved and laid with footpaths offering a picturesque walks to the beach and cliff top. With the kind of sociable welcome and home comforts that no hotel could ever match; we are confident that Thanet House will be a place that you will want to return to again and again.
