[Zmugzy, 07.07.2007] Langtry Manor is regarded by the author as a "much more atmospheric choice and run with a more personal touch" than many other similar hotels in the area.
The double bedrooms range from "ordinary twins to the Lillie Langtry Suite" The latter was Lillie's own room and has a "four-poster bed and a double heart-shaped bathtub". Alternatively you can stay in the Edward VII Suite which is "furnished as it was when His Royal Highness lived in this spacious room". It also has a "working fireplace and a cast-iron bathtub in the Edwardian-style bathroom". The bathrooms throughout the Manor are "tiled and beautifully maintained" and some have their own Jacuzzis.
There is a restaurant and bar but the hotel only has "limited room service".
Frommers have rated the hotel with only one star.
