Frommer's at the Boulder Dushanbe Tea House

[koshkha, 25.05.2008] The Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse was a gift from Boulder's sister city in Tajikistan. Four Tajik artisans helped to construct the "ornately hand-carved and -painted" sections of the building which arrived in crates. The teahouse is the "only" one of its kind in the Western Hemisphere. The building is "lavishly and authentically decorated" with a "grand" central fountain. The menu has "traditional ethnic" dishes including some "Tajik specialties". Frommer's gives the teahouse a one star rating.
