The Lenox had been opened in 1900 when it used to be the "latest thing". More than 100 years later, the hotel "echoes that fin de siècle splendor everywhere". The lobby is "ornate", the rooms are "spacious" and "luxurious". The hotel is in a "central" location which attracts business travellers. The hotel is rather "small", the staff "accomodating" so that it's - according to Frommers - a "welcome alternative" to the larger hotels nearby. The guest rooms are "large enough" for sitting areas, the furniture is made of "custom-designed" wood, and the "marble" bathrooms contribute to the "anything [more]
