[martanikolova, 18/01/2012] I have attended a wedding there a while ago and stayed at the hotel for a night. I wasn't impressed by the room, but basically they are ok - they have a small TV with satellite television, nice bed, a hair-drier. Well, the usual features of a standard room, nothing luxurious. What I liked was the balcony - really nice view and fresh air, fantastic.

[martanikolova, 13/01/2012] This is one of the best ski resorts in Bulgaria. Its closeness to Sofia is the greatest advantage, because you can even go there for a day. The resort is well-maintained, there are lots hotels, bed&breakfast and villas you can stay at. There are ski tracks of different difficulty, there is a ski lift, which can take all the way to the top of the mountain. The resort is also nice in the summer, when you can walk around the beautiful paths in the forest, drive a bike or just relax in some spa centre of a hotel. You can reach the resort by car or by bus. [martanikolova, 04/01/2012] A very good hotel with friendly and polite staff (especially the Manager of the hotel). It is near the ski track and not very close to the noisiest part of Borovetz. There are two parts of the hotel (one is renovated and much better, of course. It is clean and nice and it is not an expensive hotel.
[martanikolova, 04/01/2012] Amazing hotel, right on the ski track with great facilities and very good service. It is true that it is a little bit expensive, but this doesn't change the fact that it offers marvellous experience. It is the only Bulgarian hotel part of Small Luxury Hotels, which also shows its class. I love it and I love the whole atmosphere this hotel provides. It has everything you could possibly want from a mountain spa hotel - great location, facilities for kids, night clubs, restaurants, spa centre, etc. It is a great hotel.
[snezhito, 25/07/2011] Tzarska Bistrica, the former mountain residence of the Bulgarian royal family now turned into a museum, is located next to the winter resort Borovetz and is easily accessible by car.
My disappointment came when we found out that the main building was closed and you could only see the park, the chapel and a small collection of photographs and paintings. We found very fascinating the electricity generator built in 1912 and that was still fully functional. (The Austrian engineers did a really great job in 1912!)

[norman23, 04/03/2010] The complex gives out a nice feeling. I spent my days between the SPA, skiing and sampling the restaurant food. Didn't have the time to go to the disco, but everything else was top notch.

[kevin224, 27/02/2010] Overall a perfect experience. The is only a couple of hundred meters from the gondola lift, so you are next to the slopes. The rooms are airy and quiet, the staff was great and the disco is mind-blowing. Deffinitely a must!

It is most visited by UK, Germans, French and other EU. There were made many ski competitions and our most famous Professional skier runs most of the ski runs and hotels.
While you are there DON'T MISS to visit Rila monastery!!!
Accessibility:
You can go there by bus roms Sofia or the nearest town - Samokov. Driving by car from Sofia takes me about 45-60 minutes by a very good road, which pass by Samokov.
After Samokov the road is also very good. The traveling is pleasant.
