[rrr108, 15/09/2009] My friend and I just returned from 4 nights at the Butterfly and I have to say that no matter what you've read about this magical place, the reality of staying there is even better!! This is a small, boutique hotel on a hill overlooking the Bay of Gumbet and a short, 10 minutes walk downhill into the town of Bodrum. So you really get the best of both worlds; access to the restaurants, clubs and shopping of Bodrum and the peace and quiet of one of the most gorgeous hotels I've ever stayed at. Located "above the inner harbor" on top of a hill the hotel is described as a "Mediterranean villa". The hotel once a "private home" has been converted into a "boutique hotel" that is "inviting" and "intimate". The rooms which there are 6 are all "uniquely styled and plush". You might be "hard-pressed" in choosing one. The author tells the ones she is "partial" to be the "Çini Room" which has a "wall of Turkish tiles" and the one with the "garden courtyard" named the "Bahçe Room". Lynn A.
