Managed by British expats and experienced Thai staff who understand their needs, Baan Bophut exists to serve independent travelers who choose escape, relaxation and supreme comfort over activity and adventure.
With only eleven rooms, the resort's petite proportions allow guests to be indulged with an attentive, individualized service amid a relaxing social experience.
Many of our guests are return visitors, and more still find their way to us by word of mouth. But as much as we welcome families, we're unable accommodate small children, and to ensure the comfort of other guests, must discourage those with boisterous or noisy youngsters.
Eight comfortable, sea-facing rooms on two floors, each with large, shaded verandahs, are surpassed in size only by two penthouse rooms and a suite of generous proportions in which up to three or four friends can be accommodated.
Rooms are uniquely furnished in a stylish, contemporary, south-east Asian design, with probably the comfiest king-sized beds on the island.
All rooms enjoy unrestricted sea views of neighbouring islands including the largest, of Koh Pha Ngan, 12km across Bophut Bay. Ground floor rooms have direct beach access.
Each room is air-conditioned, equipped with cable TV, DVD / CD player, a stocked refrigerator, tea & coffee making facilities and safe deposit boxes. WiFi is freely available for those who wish to bring their own laptop. Hair dryers, irons and boards are available on request. Laundry handed-in by 12h00 is returned the following day.
An extensive continental breakfast, included in the room rate, is served in the beach front restaurant which also offers hot breakfasts, fruit shakes, Thai and western favourites throughout the day. The 'Spirit House' beach bar is a popular spot to meet fellow guests, seek refreshment and enjoy Samui's spectacular sunsets without getting thirsty.
Cars and motorcycle hire, day trips and ticket reconfirmation can be arranged through Reception. Kayaks and paddle boards are available for rental by the hour on the beach.
