Blackpool zoo is very easy to find as the area has excellent tourist signs for you to follow, directed from all main roads. One of the route you could follow is: Follow the M6 to junction 32 and take the M55 to junction 4, then follow the signs to the zoo! Blackpool Zoo is two miles from the local seafront and hosts over 1500 animals from all over the world over a surface of 32 acres. There are several theme areas on offer in this zoo, as "Amazonia", "Gorilla Mountain", "Lemur Wood" etc.; there is a special part for children ("Children's Zoo") and a miniature railway. Coffee shops and a zoo shop are provided on the area, and conference facilities are on offer as well. The zoo is open every day (except Christmas day) from 10.00 am Ticket prices and more details can be found on the homepage of the zoo. Annual tickets are available, too. |
