THE ZOO:
Blackpool zoo is one of the best zoo's I have visited, each time we come to Blackpool we always make a visit. This zoo has an outstanding collection of animals to keep everyone amused and interested.
This Zoo has more than 1500 animals living in areas which are as close to their environment as possible. New areas are being built all the time.
Areas I enjoy in the Zoo are:
The Creepy Crawly Experience
Dinosaur Safari (Price Extra, can get with admission ticket)
Close encounters with the Elephants
Petting Zoo, Goats can be a pain.
Feeding of the tigers (Note times on way in).
The zoo really is a great days experience, worth a visit. I would take a picnic with you and take a break mid day to relax those tired legs as you will do plenty of walking. The children were never bored at this zoo as there is plenty to see and do, you will not do everything in a day.

Other Helpful information:
SORRY, NO DOGS ALLOWED : Guides can be arranged for blind or partially sighted visitors. Assistance Dogs cannot be taken into the Zoo, but will be well looked after by Zoo staff. Please phone 01253 830805 for further details.
The Zoo has plenty of picnic tables compared to other zoos I have visited in the past.
Don't forget they also have special events throughout the year, during the summer holidays they have some great nature trails etc to do.
The gift shop is very expensive compared to other zoo shops I have been to, we did not buy much.
